Greetings Church family!
As we continue to receive communications and information regarding the COVID-19 virus, we are aware of the significant challenges arising on a daily basis. The virus is spreading rapidly, and there are an increasing number of cases reported throughout the state. We know the virus is highly contagious and that mitigation is possible with cautious measures.
And after much consideration and prayer, the church board voted to suspend public worship, including prayer meetings, until further notice, effective immediately. Please use your discretion regarding smaller gatherings like small groups, Bible studies, etc. These precautions are not only important for your own safety, but also for the health and welfare of the entire community. While we are in unfamiliar territory and this may seem extreme, health care professionals and leadership advise that this is necessary for slowing the rate of infection.
As well, with the awareness of so many who depend on our church ministries, we hope you will be mindful of the need to continue to support these ministries and our local church. Your prayers, your continuing financial support in the form of tithes and offerings, and your personal witness are still extremely important and are vital to sustaining our church – both locally and globally.
If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact me at any time, and I will be happy to talk with you. Also, I will continue to have office hours on Tuesday afternoons (excluding this week) if you would like to speak with me personally. Our board will continue to closely monitor the situation and will resume our services as soon as it is safe to do so. Please follow our Facebook page for the latest updates.
Be safe and may God bless and comfort each of you during this difficult time.
